Revolution: Will technology save us?

Fashion & Tech Paradox: while today we reached a technological state where we are exploring commercial space travel, the way we produce clothing has barely changed over the last 100 years. Technology can be a powerful tool to drive sustainability but in order to truly benefit from it, the fashion industry’s business model and its business logic need to change.
“Revolution: Will technology save us?” was the title of a vivid panel discussion, which took place during the MBFW Berlin and Fashion Open Studio event.
The panel was wonderfully moderated by Carina Bischof, Director of Fashion Revolution Germany & Project Manager at studio MM04 and included future thinkers Dr. Karsten Pufahl from Technische Universität Berlin, Orsola de Castro Co-fouder and Creative Director of Fashion Revolution, Sophie Tendai Christiaens Operations Director of SEWN Africa and CHANGE ROOM founder Dr. Monika Hauck.
